Ok, as S-T-H already pointed out, there are alot of dupes flying around. And we all already know having a duped items is bad(no shit).
So I'd like to propose a few things that might make the new trades safer and more legitimate.
Last night I had a meeting with the team masters of CA/Legit, Ascension, Light_Force, Legendary and a few guys from jeM. We discussed on what could be a solution for this duplication trade problem. We came to an agreement that we could suggest to limit trade outside the team or outside this federation of teams that has agreed to trade legitimately. Legion from Ascension wrote up some rules and I'd like everyone to take a nice hardy look at these, to me, this sounds like a good idea...if you have any questions or concerns ask me
Part I. Intent
In direct response to the induction of duplicated and hacked items into the economy of Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst, we, the Legitimate Item Approving Organization, (hereafter referred to as the members or LIAO,) have established an approving authority on the legitimacy of rare items. In an effort to provide the community with an interim assurance of the validiy of at least a portion of the items available in the community, the signors agree to maintain the following guidelines.
Members shall not allow hackers/dupers within their ranks. Failure to remove known hackers from their teams will result in forfeiture of membership.
Members shall not knowingly associate with in an inappropriate manner or trade with hackers/dupers. Any failure to abide by this which results in the induction of illegitimate items into the LIAO's certification will result in temporary suspension of the LIAO's certification until the matter is resolved. Continued failure to abide by this will result in forfeiture of membership.
In return for these two basic assurances, which will effectively regulate and limit to legitimate materials the items available for trade by the members, members will be authorized to have their team advertise the LIAO Certified in every trade they initiate or bid in. LIAO certification will carry the weight of the combined word and reputation of all LIAO members that the items offered are 100% legitimate.
Part II. Organization
The LIAO will consist of established member teams only consisting of a minimum of 8 or more members. Individuals, small parties, or unproven organizations will not be allowed membership. *Note, unproven organizations include those that have recently had a major change in leadership, have had difficulties with hackers/dupers in the past, or who's entrance into the public arena/founding was less than one month from the date of application.
LIAO membership will be granted on the basis of member voting. For induction into the LIAO, applicants must meet two criteria: A minimum of 50% of general members must vote for the joining team with no more than two general members or 10% (whichever is greater) voting against, and 60% of the founding/regulating members voting for with 0% founding/regulating members voting against. Failure to meet these criteria will result in non-membership for the applicant.
The LIAO will consist of the X founding members and susequent applying members. These founding/regulating members include:
(Suggest no more than 5 of the most respected teams that join be listed as founders. Enforcers, Ascension, CA/legit, Finalcube come to mind. PSO_United definitely if they would join. Not Cresents, and Legendary has a few problems with some members. Not where I wouldn't let them in, but not make them a founder. jEM I simply don't know enough, but if they ARE legit, then they should be a founder as well. Will write some terms on member expulsion later).
